   Every new frame starts from a blank sheet, where inspiration and knowledge will combine. The sources of inspirations are multiple: art galleries, travel, deco expo, books, photos, etc… Each LAFONT frame has its own design, pattern, and colors.  Each LAFONT frame is exclusive

Louis Lafont started Lafont Opticiens in 1923 with the opening of the first shop in Paris, France.  In 1972, Philippe and Laurence Lafont, created the brand LAFONT, in order to distribute the first exclusive collection.  The LAFONT concept: combination of design and technique in order to create stylish frames.  It’s a daily job to look for new exclusive colors (70% of our color range is exclusive) in acetate or metal, with a refined design and a great deal of detail.

From the beginning of the brand, the collections are entirely and exclusively designed in the lafont creation studio.  The studio LAFONT ensures that design & the product are the mark of the brand.

   Far from standardized fashion diktats and conformist trends, each collection  asserts its artistic temperament , drawing its inspiration from the sources of Modern Art, architecture and contemporary design.

Face à Face frames are developed within the design studio directed by Pascal Jaulent resembling small subtle pieces of architecture, playing with volumes, shapes, material and textures.

Lilly Pulitzer (Kenmark)    All Locations

   Lilly never wanted to produce clothing that was suited for the colder months.  “It’s always summer somewhere,” she was quoted as saying.  In accordance with Mrs. Pulizer’s reported preferences, the dress (and eyewear accessories) was to be worn with bare feet and was lined to give the most freedom for the wearer. With everything Lilly does she follows the motto “Everything is possible with sunshine and a little pink,” which very accurately represents her fun and vibrant designs.

Vera Wang (Kenmark)    All Locations

   In Vera Wang’s own words “I have a story.  My very own.  It shaped me, challenged me, and inspired me… it seduced me.  How does one describe a lifelong love affair of …. Maui-Jim (Hawaii)    Westside

   Lunor frames are clean, modern unisex designs that include oval, teardrop and both a modified and traditional rectangle.  Lunor develops a European, fashion-forward look with saddle bridges and as well as a double saddle for maximum comfort and style.  Both metals and plastics are available; many of the metal are made with ultra-light titanium.  Look for the new surgical steel designs for maximum durability with titanium nose pads.

Retrospecs (California)    Westside

   Authentic antique eyewear from the 1920’s and 30’s.  These are actual 10 and 12 karat gold-filled frames from the period.  This company has refurbished the frames, catalogued and stored thousands of pieces for each style presented, virtually every gold frame ever made between 1910 and 1973.  Custom is the key word with this collection – temples come in 7 sizes, bridges (the center piece) are available in 3 sizes and the eye sizes (the lens area), come in at least three different sizes.  Each piece is unique and is serial numbered for future reference.  We are one of only 80 accounts in the United States.

   This collection is their homage to the great architects and the golden years of Danish design. It’s our interpretation of the contemporary vintage trend inspired by young urban creatives: both edgy and artisanal, it perfectly captures a downtown vibe.
